RFC Portables was started in the Spring of 2005 by a sole individual, Ryan Frank, who continues to design and help construct these buildings. The idea of building originally came from his father, Donny Frank, owner of Bork Lumber and Steel, Inc.. Donny thought that small portable options for local farmers would provide lower prices than that of a traditional construction crew and also be supplemental income for his son. Originally there were only 3 portable buildings: a 7 stall calf hut, a 12’ x 18’ Open Front and an 18’ x 24’ Open Front. As demand grew for those core buildings, so did the company.
A well-established network of wholesale suppliers through Bork Lumber and Steel, Inc. ensures that RFC Portables are not only built with high quality materials but also allows us to pass the savings onto you. People say, “You really get what you pay for” because something is expensive and is thus high quality. That is generally correct but we don’t want you to overpay. Still available today, the core buildings have been perfected and updated over the years to the multiple stock buildings we have now. Our drive for providing products customers need and want continues and is where our inspiration and innovation stem from. Therefore, new designs and options are constantly in the works.
